Christie J. McCravy is the Executive Director for the Louisville Metro Affordable Housing Trust Fund. She has more than 30 years of experience in housing, community development, and banking. Her non-profit experience includes serving as Housing Director for the Louisville Urban League and Director of Housing Counseling for the Housing Partnership, Inc. While in banking, she served as a community development and CRA officer, treasury management relationship manager, credit analyst and small business lender.
McCravy is community-oriented and has served on several local boards. Currently, she serves on the PNC Bank Community Development Advisory Committee, the Board of Directors for the Louisville Asset Building Coalition, and is the 1st Vice-President for the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Eta Omega chapter. She has served on the 8th District of the Federal Reserve Bank Community Development Advisory Council and was President of the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Housing Coalition, former board chair for the Kentucky Center for African American Heritage, a former board member of the Louisville Affordable Housing Trust Fund, and a former member of the J.P. Morgan Chase National Community Advisory Board.
McCravy graduated cum laude from Western Kentucky University with a BA in broadcast journalism/business administration and has attended graduate school at both Western Kentucky and the University of Louisville. She holds several professional certifications including that of Housing Development Finance Professional from the National Development Council (NDC).
A native of Louisville, McCravy is a member of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, she is married to Newton III, is the mother of two daughters and a grandmother or “Gigi,” to one granddaughter.
