LOUISVILLE, KY (December 19, 2016)—Mayor Greg Fischer joined the Louisville Affordable Housing Trust Fund (LAHTF) today to announce the recipients of LAHTF funds that were allocated in the FY17 budget. A total of $2.35 million will be distributed to six local agencies to supplement the financing of 326 affordable housing units.
The Louisville Metro Affordable Housing Trust Fund was created by Metro Council as a way for Louisville to invest additional local public funds to address the affordable housing shortage. A place to call home opens the door to opportunity and the whole community does better when everyone has a decent place to call home.
The LAHTF’s financials are included with the consolidated statements of Louisville Metro Government. These are the only 990s produced as the IRS has determined that separate 990s are no longer necessary to be completed by the organization.
