To help all of us, Louisville must invest in public housing

Our city is experiencing tremendous economic momentum:

• 72,000 new private sector jobs in the last seven years.

• 2,500 new businesses.

• Nearly $13 billion in capital investment.

• Wages are up. Unemployment is low, and thousands of jobs are open.

But like any city, we have challenges – like making sure that our prosperity benefits everyone. Being a city of compassion means we must be dedicated to ensuring that everyone has an opportunity to reach their full human potential.

Louisville Affordable Housing Trust Fund allocates FY18 funds
Allocation was celebrated at groundbreaking of a development in Middletown

LOUISVILLE, KY (March 7, 2018)—The Louisville Affordable Housing Trust Fund (LAHTF) has announced the allocation of FY18 funds. LAHTF allocated about $8.76 million to 22 different projects which will assist in the creation or preservation of 1,115 units to projects in 8 Metro Council Districts.

Louisville Affordable Housing Trust Fund allocates FY17 funds
$2.35 million will assist in creating 326 affordable housing units

LOUISVILLE, KY (December 19, 2016)—Mayor Greg Fischer joined the Louisville Affordable Housing Trust Fund (LAHTF) today to announce the recipients of LAHTF funds that were allocated in the FY17 budget. A total of $2.35 million will be distributed to six local agencies to supplement the financing of 326 affordable housing units.
